When new story ideas strike...

I have no idea what it's like for other writers but when a new idea creeps up on me I find myself obsessing on how to build the world every time my mind has a spare moment. My brain goes to it automatically like a screensaver on a computer. Generally I fuss with the details in my head until I can write a blurb and then I really get going. I think Bozena's name will get shortened to Zena and I'm super excited to start. At this point I don't know if it will be sci-fi or fantasy but I'm certain it will be fun!

Bozena Skala, The Wanderer Bozena Skala was committed to an insane asylum as a young girl after the unexplained disappearance of her half-brother. At eighteen the authorities deem her lucid enough for release as long as she remains medicated and reports to a psychiatrist. Her mother, Rowena, sends the family lawyer to meet Bozena at the gates. Unwanted attention from the police and media ensues. Bozena feels ill-prepared for the onslaught and the situation brings back memories she'd rather forget. She flees to the Estate in hopes of resuming as normal of a life as possible. That's not to be. Secrets await in her family home. Some more dangerous than others...
